Do I need to want to speak on stage to benefit from Toastmasters?

No! While we practice presentations, most of what you learn applies to everyday communication: leading meetings, networking, job interviews, pitching ideas, and confidently talking to new people. Many members join to improve their workplace communication and professional presence, not to become public speakers. The skills you develop help you in corporate settings, networking events, and any situation where clear, confident communication matters.

How much does it cost to join Toastmasters?

Visiting is completely free!
If you choose to become a member, there are a few costs involved:
.New member fee (one-time)
.International dues (paid every 6 months to Toastmasters International)
.Club dues (varies by club, often covers venue costs)
While fees vary by club, membership is a small investment for significant personal and professional development—and far less expensive than hiring a personal coach or taking professional speaking courses. Most members find the value they receive in confidence, skills, and networking far exceeds the cost.

Do I need public speaking experience to join?

No! Toastmasters welcomes all skill levels from complete beginners to experienced speakers. Everyone starts somewhere and the environment is supportive and judgment-free.

It’s easy! Use the club locator to find a club near you in Arizona, New Mexico, or Texas. Contact the club to confirm their meeting time and location, then simply show up as a guest.
